Attorney General Bondi -
I have read that you recently convened a Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias in the federal government. I suggest that you begin with the filthy "Easter Message" posted by President Trump on April 20, 2025, reproduced here in its entirety as anti-Christian bias #1:
1. "Happy Easter to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics who are fighting and scheming so hard to bring Murderers, Drug Lords, Dangerous Prisoners, the Mentally Insane, and well known MS-13 Gang Members and Wife Beaters, back into our Country. Happy Easter also to the WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Judges and Law Enforcement Officials who are allowing this sinister attack on our Nation to continue, an attack so violent that it will never be forgotten! Sleepy Joe Biden purposefully allowed Millions of CRIMINALS to enter our Country, totally unvetted and unchecked, through an Open Borders Policy that will go down in history as the single most calamitous act ever perpetrated upon America. He was, by far, our WORST and most Incompetent President, a man who had absolutely no idea what he was doing -- But to him, and to the person that ran and manipulated the Auto Pen (perhaps our REAL President!), and to all of the people who CHEATED in the 2020 Presidential Election in order to get this highly destructive Moron Elected, I wish you, with great love, sincerity, and affection, a very Happy Easter!!!"
This post on Truth Social is a disgusting perversion of the true Easter Message of Christianity. St. Paul proclaims in 1 Corinthians 15:20-26 that Jesus Christ is the first One risen from the dead, followed by those who belong to Christ, until finally sin and death itself are no more. In great contrast to St. Paul, Tump's message is full of hatred and vengeance and lies and sin. Furthermore, this anti-Christian "Easter Message" was also posted on the official White House Twitter/X account.
I can already hear US Secretary of State Marco Rubio trying to excuse his and your boss by saying "He [Trump] doesn't talk like a traditional politician." That is not what the Bible says. Jesus taught that "what comes out of a mouth defiles a person" (Matthew 15:10). Trump has defiled himself by his false "Easter message", and Marco Rubio has defiled himself by trying to justify it.
2. On January 21, 2025, during the Service of Prayer for the Nation held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC; Episcopal Bishop of Washington DC Mariann Edgar Budde addressed President Trump directly: "In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now."
Later that evening Trump demanded an apology, calling Bishop Budde "nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart." I have read the full transcript of Bishop Budde's remarks; there was nothing nasty in what she preached. She referred to Exodus 22:21 in her plea "to be merciful to the stranger." For President Trump to call a preacher "nasty" for preaching from the Bible, and insulting her, goes far beyond anti-Christian bias; on January 21 your chief executive launched into an attack on Biblical Christianity.
3. Georgia Law Code § 21-2-414 (2024) prohibits anyone from offering a drink of water to any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place. This Georgia law is in clear violation of Jesus' command to His disciples in Matthew 10:42: "And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward."
4. On May 2, 2025, President Trump posted on Truth Social an AI-generated image of himself as Pope. At this time the Catholic Church was mourning over the death of Pope Francis, and was gathering for a conclave of Cardinals to select the next pope (later Leo XIV). The New York State Catholic Conference wrote in rebuttal:
There is nothing clever or funny about this image, Mr. President. We just buried our beloved Pope Francis and the cardinals are about to enter a solemn conclave to elect a new successor of St. Peter. Do not mock us.
Trump himself is diametrically opposite to the Christian ideals of love described in 1 Corinthians 13. It is an abomination to see the image of Trump dressed up as the Successor to St. Peter and the Vicar of Christ on this earth.
5. Tennessee law
SB227/HB11 (May 2025)
holds churches and charitable organizations liable
for providing housing aid to immigrants without legal status,
who then go on to commit a crime.
This Tennessee law
makes it illegal to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ in Matthew
24:35-36:
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me."
Furthermore, God's command to welcome foreigners is stated in Exodus 22:21 and Leviticus 19:34:
You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
Attorney General Bondi, you and your anti-Christian task force are doing only harm to the United States. You are presenting a false version of the Christian faith. You need to repent of your sinful purpose and disband.
In Christ's service,
Carl Drews
